Santa’s Workshop
This year, festive fun expands into the Newgate Shopping Centre, A.K.A. Santa’s Workshop! Inside, you’ll find our magical grotto, where children can meet Santa and make Christmas wishes. The workshop also features an array of craft stalls, perfect for picking up handmade gifts and festive decorations. Whether you're crafting your own Christmas treasures or visiting Santa, pop in and enjoy the atmosphere of Bishop Auckland's premiere shopping destination.
Note: The majority of Bishop Auckland’s Christmas Town will be accessible for all, though some activities, such as the Traditional Rides, will not be wheelchair accessible. Accessible toilets will be available inside the Newgate Shopping Centre. For specific access enquiries, please get in touch.
The official car park for Bishop Auckland’s Christmas Town is the Newgate Centre Car-Park (DL14 7JQ). The car park will be open until 9pm throughout the event.
